

Christopher Wayne Tomlin, 41, of Evington passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born December 10, 1975, in Lynchburg, he was the son of Joseph Eugene Tomlin, Sr. (Melissa) and Ellen Burks Hannah.
Christopher was a self-employed cell phone “genius.” He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend.
Christopher was preceded in death by his stepfather, Randolph B. Hannah, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Roy and Alma Burks; and paternal grandfather, Robert D. Tomlin.
In addition to his parents, Christopher is survived by three children, Christian Tomlin, Dillon Tomlin and Samantha Shupe, all of Campbell County; two brothers, Joseph Tomlin, Jr. of Avon Park , FL and Michael Tomlin (Stacy) of Madison Heights; three stepbrothers, Mitchell Wayne Hughes of Campbell County, Randolph Hannah, Jr. of Campbell County and Robert Andrew Hughes of Lynchburg; paternal grandmother, Hazel T. Campbell of Lyndhurst; one grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece Brittany Stickel, aunts, uncles and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Mark Snowden officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times at the residence of Michael and Stacy Tomlin.
