Curtis Wayne Harris

Born on November 21, 1961 in Farmville, he was the son of Laverne Rosser Harris and the late William Houston Harris.

Curtis enjoyed being outdoors. He loved playing his guitar, working on his lawn mowers, fishing, racing, and watching wrestling.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Otis Harris.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Shirley Harris; mother, Laverne Harris and special companion, Wayne Lovelace; siblings, William Anthony Harris and wife Tammy, Sylvia Clay and husband Jimmy, Frances Summerlin and husband Timothy, and Teresa Savage; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Samuel Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service till 4:30 pm.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff at Alan B.Pearson Cancer Center and Centra Hospice for their excellent care and support during Curtis illness.
