

Born on August 28, 1943 in Piney River, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Bartley Cash and the late Helen Lucille Mays Cash. Diddy worked with her husband for years before working at Westview Baptist Church. She and her husband James enjoyed going to dances at New London Ruritan Club. Diddy also enjoyed canning and making meals for her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katelynn Marie Branham; sister, Helen Bowling; and two brothers, Eugene Cash and James Cash.
Diddy is survived by her children, David Johns and wife Angela, Rosa Martin and husband Dennis, Becky Coles and husband Troy, and Charlotte Johns and fiancé Gene Branham; three grandchildren, James Dylan Coles, Anthony Raymond Johns, and Melinda Sears and husband Eddie; six step-grandchildren; three great grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Vaughan and husband Mike; brother, Edward Cash; and numerous other family members.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Cirenza and staff at Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center for their compassionate care of Diddy during her illness.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Minister Cynthia Branham officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Mission Cemetery. There will be an open visitation on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 9-5 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
