Dora Pauline Kalin

Born April 23, 1934 in Sylva, NC, she was the daughter of the late Cornelious and Ethel Ashe and was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother. She was retired from Blue Buckle and was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Dora is survived by a step-daughter, Debbie Adkins and husband Bob of Concord, VA; five sisters, Opal Bumgarner, Shirley Bumgarner, Evilene Davis, Barbara Miller, and Elaine Jones and two brothers, Homer Ashe and Cornelious Ashe, all of North Carolina.

Pauline wanted to thank Pastor Jeff Porter and her church family, her good neighbors and friends, Billy and Tammy Cabell, Phillip and Charlene Reynolds, and also Dr. Kathleen Paul for all of their love and care.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Briarwood Memorial Gardens in Amherst County with the Rev. David Garrison officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 16, 2017 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
