Born on June 2, 1931 in Appomattox, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ethel Moore.
Ethel retired from GE and enjoyed hunting and horses.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Ethel is survived by her daughter, Ginger Mitchell; grandson, Larry L. Mitchell; two great grandchildren, Charlie Ellis Mitchell and Rebecca Lee Mitchell; one great great grandchild, Kayleigh Lorraine Mitchell; two sisters; and two brothers.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Jack Hamilton officiating.
