Born in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Vanaman and Marcella Thomas Vanaman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lindy Hackett, Sr.; one grandson, Barry Hackett, Jr.; two sisters and one brother.
Frances was a member of Temple Baptist Church and also had strong ties to Thomas Road Baptist Church. She loved to shop and stay on the go. She also loved reading and studying her bible. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two sons, Lindy Hackett, Jr. and is wife Linda and Barry Hackett and his wife Debbie all of Madison Heights and one daughter, Debbie Torrence and her husband Matt of Madison Heights; eight grandchildren: Bonnie Clegg (Gary), Raymond Hackett, Sherman Hackett, Adam Hackett, Lisa Hackett (Christian Stadler), Jonathan Hackett (Casey), Matthew Torrence, II, and Kayla Torrence and 9 great-grandchildren.
A service celebrating her life and faith will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
