Frances was a bird watcher, Master Gardener, and collector of baskets, wooden bowls, and her other “stuff”. As Mrs. Santa, Christmas morning for her girls was beyond the expected and Easter baskets too beautiful to open. As a seamstress, she created a wardrobe of Barbie doll clothes in the days that none could be bought. She cooked great fried chicken and baked beans for picnics and camping expeditions for the first days of trout season. During her younger years as a Mom, she served as a room mother, Brownie and Girl Scout leader setting high expectations for everyone. She and her husband, Norman, spent many years buying, refinishing, and selling primitive and country furniture and other items. In the past few years, she loved taking painting classes and worked to create paintings cherished by her family and friends.
