George Preston Branham Sr.

He was born on July 7, 1933, in Amherst County, son of the late Harry and Edith Branham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Tony Michael Branham and George Thomas Hamilton; two brothers, Curtis Branham and Rufus Branham and four sisters, Hattie Hamilton, Frances Bryant, Katherine Johns and Annie Branham.

George was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and retired from Columbia Gas.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sarah Branham Stevens, George Preston Branham, Jr, Herbert Donald Branham and Grace Marie Johns and husband Robert; a brother, Wilbert Branham and a sister Betty Hicks and husband Herbert. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Whitten Monelison Chapel where a Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post #16.
