James "Pee Wee" Calvin Irvin

Born May 22, 1951 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Jesse Ellsworth Irvin and Dolly Boaze Irvin and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lenny Irvin and Ricky Irvin. “Pee Wee” was retired from Seigwerk and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, “Pee Wee” is survived by his son, Jesse Ray Irvin; his daughter, Samantha Irvin McCoy; two brothers, Jesse W. “Billy” Irvin and wife Barbara, and Roger Lee Irvin and girlfriend Jessica; three sisters, Sharon I. Hughes and husband Randy, Sandra I. Lang and husband Dennis, and Carolyn Gay Irvin, all of Madison Heights; a sister-in-law, Susan Irvin; six very special grandchildren, Caedyn Irvin, Cohen Irvin, Brody Irvin, Willow Irvin, Camrin McCoy and Liam McCoy and his devoted caregivers, Joanne Willis Coffey and Brittney Doss.

“Pee Wee” was a fun loving guy who dearly loved his family, friends, fishing and hunting.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Jacob Uthup officiating. Interment will follow at Meade Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
