

Born in Lynchburg, she is the daughter of David Lee Harper of Forest and Jessie Showalter Monaghan of Lynchburg. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Terry G. Harper; her uncle, Barry W. Harper and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Showalter.
A lifelong resident of Central Virginia, Jennifer was born March 21, 1983. A server at IHOP, Jennifer was a senior at Liberty University and was planning to graduate in May with a degree in Business Administration. She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, Dylan Johnson and Devin Carter; two sisters, Jamie Harper and her fiancée, Michael Browning of Lynchburg and Carrie Tomlin and her boyfriend Michael Anderson of Madison Heights; her step mother, Teresa Harper of Forest; her uncle, Sonny Showalter of Amherst; her aunt, Terri Burton and her husband, Walter, of Norfolk; her paternal grandmother, Ann Harper of Monroe; two cousins, John Wolhfert and James Wolhfert, of Monroe and five nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 at
Whitten Monelison Chapel. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
