
Jesse Merrell Coleman, 64, of Madison Heights, died, Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at his residence. He was the husband of Frances Dean Coleman. He was born August 31, 1946, in Lynchburg, to the late Henry Richard Coleman and Nannie Florine Foster Coleman.
Jesse was a retired Data Processing Manager for Wachovia Bank and a member of First Baptist Church of Monroe. Jesse also served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, Jesse is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jessica Katherine Coleman.
In addition to his wife, Jesse is survived by one son, Paul Jason Coleman of Baltimore, MD; one daughter, Amy Suzanne Coleman-Hilton and her husband Bradley of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Richard Earl Coleman and his wife Sandra of Madison Heights; one sister, Nancy Foster and her husband Cecil of Monroe; one granddaughter, Abigail Marie Coleman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted, 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Monroe conducted by the Rev. Glynn A. Coleman. Interment will follow at Briarwood Memorial Gardens, where the American Legion Post 16 will present Military Honors..
The family will receive friends, 6-8:30 p.m., Friday, February 25, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Monroe and at other times at the residence.
