Joseph Wesley Poe

Born October 7, 1977 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late John Wesley Poe and Mildred Shoemaker Shelton. Joe was a former employee of Sam Green Vault Co. for more than twenty years. Joe loved to hunt fish, and loved his Pit Bulls.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, John Poe and Kelsey Poe and special friend, Kaleb Creasy; one brother, Jason Poe and a sister, Crystal Poe, both of Amherst; a very special God-Daughter, Kayla Argenbright; his father and mother-in-law, Frank and Barbara Hudson of Lynchburg; one niece, Zoie Hudson; a nephew, Frank L. Hudson, III; a very special uncle and aunt, Richard and Norma Shoemaker; a very special aunt, Sandra Robbins and a host of cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Meade Cemetery with the Rev. E. Wayne Hudson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
