
Born September 30, 1959, in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Walter Malcolm Coleman Jr., and is survived by his mother, Barbara Burch Coleman.
Kenneth was a former member of the Monelison Rescue Squad. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a devoted son and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors also include two sons, Kenneth Ray Coleman Jr., and Jason Scott Coleman and his wife Lauren; his former wife, Glener Coleman Beamer and her husband Ron, all of Madison Heights; three sisters, Karen Hamlin and husband R.B., of Pamplin, Betty Melton and husband David, of Bedford, and Janet Barbour, of Madison Heights; a brother, Michael Coleman and wife Sarah, of Amherst; father and mother-in-law, Calvin and Edith Vest, of Madison Heights; daughter-in-law, Shalena Coleman, of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Brian, Tyler, Riley, and Kaylee Coleman, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 30, 2010, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel, and at other times at the residence of his mother, Barbara Coleman.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at Whitten Monelison Chapel, by the Rev. Darrell Donaldson. Interment will follow in Meade Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Living Water Baptist Church.
