Born in Madison Heights, November 7, 1930, he was the son of the late Samuel J. Cooper, Sr. and Maggie Louise Hughes Cooper. He was a US Army veteran and was retired from Clements Iron Works.
Survivors include his daughter, Pam C. Burks and husband Mark; his son, Kenneth Marshall Cooper and wife Lisa; two sisters, Shirley C. Ferguson and Iris C. “Dickie” Wood and husband Bill; two brothers-in-law, Robert A. Crowder and Melvin L Crowder; one sister-in-law, Rosie Jowers; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton officiating.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, Pam.
