Lavenia Holley Reid, 75, of Monroe, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at her residence.
Born May 28, 1935 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mabel Shaner Holley and was also preceded in death by one brother, Frederick Holley, Jr.
Mrs. Reid is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Garrison and her husband, Richard of Pamplin; two nephews and numerous cousins
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Peter Emmerson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the American Heart Assoc.
