

Born September 25, 1941 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Homer Harris Viar and Freddie Brightwell Viar. In addition to being a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Linda was an Amherst County School bus driver for more than fifteen years. She loved to travel and was an avid gardener. She was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
Linda is survived by four children, Vickie Stowe Craig of Rustburg, Ronald E. Stowe, Jr., Sarah Stowe Thacker and her husband Scott, all of Madison Heights, and William Joseph Stowe and wife Debra of Evington; five grandchildren, Garrett Stowe Ranson, Zachary C. Carter, Jayden Reid, and Kyleigh Stowe and a sister, Barbara V. Falls of Monroe.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Earl F. Clarkson, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
