Born September 11, 1943 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late William Hunter Allen Sr. and Evelyn Coffey Allen and was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Leroy Campbell.
Lois helped Roy run and manage Roy M. Cash Builders for fifty years and was also co-owner of Crossroads Market in Amherst County. She was a member of Clifford Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Lois is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Lois Cash Gowen and husband David and Stephania Janel Cash Myers, both of Amherst; four sisters, Shelby Allen Campbell of Madison Heights, Barbara Allen Layne and husband Johnny of Amherst, Gay Allen Stinnett and husband Butch, and Fay Allen Mays and husband Elwood, all of Amherst; one brother, William Hunter Allen, Jr. and wife Cindy of Salem and three grandchildren, Brittani Lynn Gowen, Kimberly Nicole Myers, and Tiffany Diana Myers, all of Amherst.
Lois is also survived by her mother-in-law, Eunice Cash Stevens of Amherst; sister-in-law, Phyllis Cash Campbell and husband Kifferly, all of Amherst and a special cousin, Betty Sue Jennings of Madison Heights.
A service to celebrate Lois’s life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Clifford Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow at Amherst Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Clifford Baptist Church and other times at the residence.
