Louise "Mama Dot" Tyree Cunningham

Born in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late William Howard Tyree and the late Elsie Rhodes Tyree. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William H. “Dink” Tyree, Jr. and Peyton L. Tyree.

Mama Dot was a faithful member of Sandy Bottom Christian Church and she was a wonderful wife, mother grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by three children, Gerald Cunningham and his wife, Wanda, of Madison Heights, Ray Cunningham and his wife, Patricia, of Lynchburg and Beverly C. Kimpel of Richmond; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at Sandy Bottom Christian Church by the Reverend Jim Freeman . Interment will follow in Meade Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, October 24, 2011, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
