Marilyn Burch Harris

Born on March 11, 1930 in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Eva Burch.

Marilyn was a kind hearted woman and an avid card player. She touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with, whether it was her sweet demeanor or her bit of sass that would come out on occasion.

The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Runk & Pratt Liberty Ridge as well as those with Gentle Shepherd Hospice for going above and beyond with their care of Marilyn.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernest Burch and his wife Helen, whom she considered to be like a sister, Ed Burch, Bill Burch and her sister, Lois Cutshall.

Marilyn is survived by her three children, Wayne Harris (Ritsuko), Wanda Harris, and Randall Harris (Jane E); two granddaughters, Jodee and Randi Harris.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Elon Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Barry Tucker officiating. Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 1 pm and at other times at the home of Randall.
