Born November 19, 1958, Mark initially did not like animals, but grew to appreciate the family dog, Milo. Even allowing Milo to clean up any crumbs Mark may have dropped, ensuring no bite went to waste. Mark was known for his culinary go-to’s, being of course the classic cheeseburger, and especially relishing in the delicious confectionary heaven known as Little Debbie Cakes-his personal favorite. Mark was renowned for his repeatedly proven ability to predict the next Super Bowl winner which will be sorely missed. His remarkable memory was a hallmark, if he met you once, he knew you forever. Among his more playful habits, Mark was known to occasionally smack the back of his nephew-in-law, Jeff’s, head; so he would not be overlooked, and to show Mark’s authority. He surpassed all expectations, living a vibrant life to the age of 65, defying the projections given at birth. Mark’s absence will leave a marked void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents Mark was preceded in death by his siblings Lewis Hamilton, Mary Fields, Wayne Hamilton; his sissy Brenda Koester; and his nephew Gary Nelson Hamilton.
Those left to cherish Mark’s memory include his sister-in-laws Norma (Polly) Hamilton, and Kay Hamilton; His brother-in-law William (Bill) Koester; his nephews Pete Fields (Bobbie), Tim Hamilton (Andrea), Bruce Hamilton, Scott Hamilton (Donna); his nieces Cheryl Hamilton, Mary Beth Conner (Jeff); his great nieces and nephews Ryan Fields (Julie), Cory Fields (Amanda), Elizabeth Hamilton (Frankie), Lee Hamilton (Lexi), Kenzi Hamilton, Derek Hamilton and Jacob Hamilton.
A celebration of Mark’s life will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11:00 am at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Peyton Fitzgerald officiating. A graveside will follow at Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends the night prior to the service from 5:00-7:00 pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
