Born in Lynchburg September 27, 1924, she was a daughter of the late James Ezery Edgemon and Karin Glass Edgemon. She was a retired library supervisor from Sweet Briar College and was a member of Amherst Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James E. Edgemon, Jr. and Edwin Earl Edgemon, and one sister, Helen Mae Edgemon.
She is survived by one brother, William Ray Edgemon, Sr. of Amherst; two sisters, Shirley E. Jenkins of Toano, VA and Betty L. Edgemon of Monroe.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 am on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Presbyterian Cemetery with Chaplain James Whitaker officiating.
