Myrtle Mayberry Patterson

Myrtle Mayberry Patterson, 89, of Madison Heights passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019. She was the loving wife of the late Granville Neil “Tim” Patterson. Born on August 12, 1929 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Glen Mayberry and the late Myrtle Turner Mayberry. Myrtle owned Pat’s Ceramic Shop and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and crafts. She would knit hats and take them to the hospital. She was a member of Madison Heights Christian Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Patterson; son-in-law, Robert McFall; five brothers; four sisters; and one great grandson. Myrtle is survived by her children, Wayne Patterson and wife Ann, Frances Crowder and husband Robert, and Rebecca McFall; grandchildren, Carmen Crowder, Neil Crowder, Daniel Patterson and wife Melissa, and Renea Brunner and husband John, III; eight great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, starting at 10 am.
