

Nora Grant Campbell Fitzgerald, age 103, of Madison Heights, passed away August 30, 2011, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Tinsley Campbell; and her second husband, Wyatt Estes Fitzgerald.
Born October 10, 1907, in Pleasantview, she was a daughter of the late James “Hayes” Grant, and Maude Henson Grant. She was one of eight children, and was preceded in death by five brothers, and two sisters; a son, Benjamin Frank Campbell; a daughter, Helen C. Connelly; granddaughter, Mary Ann Jenkins; and grandson, Mark Campbell.
Mrs. Fitzgerald was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. She was retired from Imperial Reading, after 25 years of service as an inspector, and was also a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, David Campbell Jr. and wife Delores, of King George, VA; a daughter, Marian C. Wood, of Madison Heights; step-son, Wayne L. Fitzgerald, of Lynchburg, 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
The family will recieve friends tonight, Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Whitten Monelison Chapel, from 7-9:00 p.m. and at other times at the residence of her daughter.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., today, Friday, September 2, 2011 at Faith Baptist Church, in Madison Heights, by Pastor Brian Hudson. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church.
