Born on July 18, 1928 in Amherst County, he was the son of the late Edward Samuel Floyd and Ora Tomlin Floyd.
Frank retired from the United States Army after 30 years of service. He also retired from VDOT after 15 years of service.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a brother, Earl Floyd.
He is survived by his daughter, Toya Hewett of Madison Heights; his son, Troy Floyd of Madison Heights; two grandsons, Aaron Hewett and wife Shanda and Travis Franklin Floyd; five great grandchildren, Brittney, Brianna, Kayla, Colby, and Blaine; one sister, Dot McCraw and husband John of Lynchburg; and one brother, Robert Lee Floyd of MD.
In keeping with Frank’s wishes, there will be no formal service.
