

Raymond Franklin Maddox, 53, of Madison Heights, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Born November 18, 1960, Alexandria, he was the son of the late Howard Franklin Maddox and the late Iris Ann Fitzgerald Williams.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his brother, David Maddox.
Raymond was a former painter and a member of Oakdale Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Raymond is survived by his three children, Rebecca Maddox and her fiancé Oscar Chacon of Madison Heights, Robert Maddox and his wife Celeste of Amherst and Regina Hall and her husband Warren of Madison Heights; one sister Denise Hamilton of Lynchburg; his former wife Lynda Sue Wells of Madison Heights; one niece, Amanda Thomas of Lynchburg; two nephews, Brian Maddox and his wife Stacy of Pamplin and James Maddox and his wife Amber of Appomattox; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Monday, November 17, 2014, at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at the residence of Denise Hamilton.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the nurses of the Comfort Care Wing at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
