

Born on March 23, 1933 in Huttonsville, WV, he was the son of the late Richard Henry Pingley, Sr. and Georgia Swecker Pingley.
Richard served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a Branch Manager for the Electrolux Vacuum Cleaner Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on his yard and in his garden. He also enjoyed going back to WV to the cabin. He never knew a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Henry Pingley, III; a son-in-law, Randy Coates; and a sister, Deloris Whittley.
He is survived by her children, Dena R. Gardner and husband Yogi of Winchester, Tammy P. Coates of Madison Heights, and Greg Pingley and wife Beth of Madison Heights; his five grandchildren, Dustin Gardner, Katalin G. Swanson and husband Dan, Nicholle Coates, Jared Pingley, and Logan Pingley; his three sisters, Eula Robbins, Carolyn Cunningham and husband Monte, and Gwen Taylor; and numerous other family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 1pm at Brick Church Cemetery in Randolph County, WV with Pastor Steve Tyree officiating. For family and friends wishing to view Mr. Pingley, you may do so prior to the service until 12:45.
