Robert B. Tomlin

Born May 17, 1945 in Amherst County, he was the son of Hazel Staton Tomlin Campbell of Waynesboro and the late Robert Deverue Tomlin. He was retired from Lynchburg Foundry with twenty-eight years of service and was a charter member of Bible Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Tomlin is survived by one son, Robert Dallas Tomlin and wife Valerie of Amherst; two brothers, Joseph Eugene Tomlin and wife Melissa of Monroe and David Leon Tomlin of Madison Heights; two sisters, Judy T. Peters and husband Inkey of Elon and Jackie T. Lipscomb of Madison Heights and two grandchildren, Tara Lynn Tomlin and Haley Summer Tomlin.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 14, 2012 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Mark Snowden and Pastor Daryl Donald officiating. Interment will follow at Briarwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
