Born in Crozet, December 27, 1942 he was the only son of the late John William Twisdale and Marie McAllister Twisdale. Bobby was retired from the Lynchburg Foundry after 35 years of service. He also along with his wife was the owner and operator of Slicks Café in Madison Heights for 28 years and he was a member of Fairview Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Gibson Twisdale of Lynchburg; one son, Jason Scott Twisdale of Lynchburg; two daughters, Toni Nelson and husband Tracy of Cedar Creek, TX and Deborah Mays of Madison Heights; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to either the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
