

Ronald L. Rummage passed away Tuesday, December 02, 2014 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Glenda Fowler Rummage. He was born on April 14, 1937 in Union County, NC to the late Shelby and Emma Lomax Rummage.
Ron worked as a police officer at Sweet Briar College, and his family has many fond memories of their vacations on the Outer Banks—his favorite place to go fishing. He was a member of Randolph Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by two children: Suzanne Farley and her husband Brian of Monroe, NC, and Betsy Hall and her husband Kevin of Madison Heights; two brothers: H. Clark Rummage and his wife Linda of Wingate, NC, and Don Ray Rummage of Hendersonville, NC; seven grandchildren: Jordan Farley (Hannah), Morgan Farley and her fiancé Michael, Brin Farley, Braden Farley, Caroline Hall, Ryan Hall, and Tanner Hall. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Roselyn and Ruth Anne.
A funeral service will be held at Randolph Memorial Baptist Church on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at Briarwood Memorial Garden. Pastors Derik Hamby and Jack Hamilton will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior.
