

Theresa “Tee” Simmons Armistead Bouldin passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 3, 2023; two weeks shy of her 95th birthday. She is predeceased by her husband John “Jack” Conrad Bouldin, Sr. and an infant daughter, Susannah. Surviving are three children, John Conrad, Jr., Robert Armistead , and Mary Luciel. She also leaves seven grandchildren who called her Meemaw: John III, Tyler, Stephanie, Faith, Grace, Kennon and Carolina as well as three great grandchildren, Pierce, Grant, and a little girl yet unborn.
Tee was born in Roanoke, Virginia, on Aug 16, 1928, the youngest of 5 children to George Armistead and Mary White Graff. She graduated from Southern Seminary in Buena Vista, VA, and married her sweetheart, Jack. They settled in Alexandria, VA, where she was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She had the gift of giving, was an excellent hostess, and a skilled bridge player. She spent her senior years in Lynchburg, VA. She was a life-long follower of Jesus, and her hope was to spend eternity with all of her family in heaven.
Notably, Tee’s 8th great grandmother was Pocahontas, and she was a direct descendant of many Virginia patriots. She was proud to be an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Colonial Dames.
She leaves a legacy of grace, wisdom, and love. She will be missed, but the wonderful memories she created will bring comfort to those who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held August 12th at 11:00 in the Temple Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
