Timothy Robert Johnson, 74, of Madison Heights, passed away, Monday, November 8, 2021 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Jacque Swift Johnson.
Born August 16, 1947 in Wooster, OH, he was the son of the late Guy Alan and Edith Hall Johnson and was also preceded in death by a brother, David B. Johnson and a sister, Jane Peters. Mr. Johnson was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. Mr. Johnson was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Naomi Gillespie and Heather Payne, both of Madison Heights, Jacque Charle’ Zimny, and April Lynn Burrows, both of Amherst; one son, Robert Allen Johnson and wife Rhonda of Roanoke; four brothers, Rev. George Johnson, Jim Johnson, Rev. Art Johnson, and John Johnson; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, on the way.
A memorial service will be held, Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 4:00 p.m., at Whitten Monelison Chapel in Madison Heights.
