Born in Piney River on November 10, 1948 he was a son of the late Thomas Richard Huffman and Minnie Huffman. He was retired from Old Dominion after 40 years and Carded Graphics. He was a member of Jordan Baptist Church.
He was also preceded in death by a son Greg Huffman.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, William “Bill” Huffman, Jr., Shirley Morris, Teresa Evans (Steve), Richard Shoemaker, Jr. and Tammy Hamlett; siblings, Minnie Eagle (John), Shirley Lipscomb (Ed), Peggy Phelps, Annie Allen and Thomas Richard “Bo” Huffman; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, July 15, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Melvin Campbell, Pastor Carlton Dunn, and Pastor Steve Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Amherst Cemetery.
