

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Ray Epling; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Epling; and maternal grandmother, Geraldine R. Slater.
He will be sadly missed by his mother, Jaqueline R. Epling “Jackie Myers”; his broken-hearted sister, Yvonne Marie; and her husband, Kenny Estep; and his two nieces, Hannah Marie and Kendall Michelle, of St. Albans. He will be greatly missed by his grandfather, Robert G. Slater of Charleston, as well as many surviving family members including a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins and a great number of friends that have been left to cherish the wonderful moments they were allowed to spend with such a special young man.
He was a graduate of Capitol High (1991), then attended Fairmont University and West Virginia State.
Formerly employed at IBEX Global/TRG and multiple call centers in the Charleston vicinity, Eddie was a kind-hearted soul that believed in living free and easy. He was a free spirited individual that lived his life to the fullest, never fearing the obstacles that others could never overcome. He was peace-seeking, compassionate, music-loving (concert- seeking), beautiful-hearted person with much love to share with those around him.
A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 1706 Greenbrier Street. Charleston, West Virginia 25311.
