

E. Lloyd Skiles, 81 of Charleston passed away Tuesday September 9, 2014 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a long illness surrounded by his family. He was born December 17, 1932 in Charleston, Kanawha County. He was a lifelong resident of Charleston. Lloyd attended Charleston High School and was employed for 43 years at BF Goodrich before retiring in 1995. Lloyd was of the Christian faith and was a US Army Veteran. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Lona Belle White Skiles; his parents, Jesse Fountain Skiles & Zelpha Lucas Skiles; brothers, Joseph & Donald Skiles; sisters, Arlene Skiles Harris, Jeanette “Chick” Skiles Maag. Surviving Lloyd are his two children, son, Jesse “Jay” (Carmen) Skiles of Walkersville, WV; daughter, Cindy (Jimmy) Clark of Charleston; sisters, Norene Wehling of Barberton, OH. Juanita “Deat” (Lloyd) Belcher of Charleston, Geraldine “Tom” (Dallas) Spradling of Ripley; brother, Frank (Sue) Skiles of Charleston; sister-in-law, Madeline White (John) Lipscomb , Gladia “Blondie” White all of Campbell’s Creek; brother-in-law, Shelton Henson of Nicholasville, KY; grandchildren, Jacob & Tanner Clark , Micki Jo & Jesse Skiles Jr.; 20 nieces & nephews; 34 great nieces & nephews; 5 great great nieces & nephews; plus several beloved in-laws. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday September 12, 2014 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Rev. Mike Long officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney. Family & friends will gather for the visitation from 6 to 8 PM Thursday September, 11 at the Funeral Home. The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Stone & Dr. Campbell for their care and compassion throughout his illness.
