Glenn Adrian Buffington

Glenn Adrian Buffington, 82, of Chesapeake, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at CAMC Memorial Hospital. He was born in Cabin Creek on November 20, 1933, to the late Elmer and Pemel Cox Buffington. Glenn retired from Broughton Dairy and E. I. Dupont – Belle. He attended the Lens Creek Wesleyan Church, was U. S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Teamsters. Glenn could not read music but he could play the piano and organ by ear and everyone loved to hear him play. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Pat; brothers, Robert, Ernest and James Buffington; and sister, Helen Priest. He is survived daughter, Teresa (Ronnie) Samms of Charleston; and grandsons, Josh (Terri) Samms and Dustin Samms, of Charleston. The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Roger Gogus officiating. The burial will follow the service at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday at the Funeral Home. Glenn’s family would like to send a very special thank you to his former caregiver, David Mines, and his current caregiver, Barbara Arthur, for their love and care.
