John Baptist Crowder Sr.

John Baptist Crowder Sr. 71 of Campbell’s Creek went home to be with the Lord Tuesday January 13, 2015 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston following a long illness. John was born in Charleston on August 16, 1943 to the late Lude & Mary Young Crowder. He was retired from the Kanawha County Board of Education. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Crowder. He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Janet Crowder; daughters, Johnna (David) Fugate & Angel (Robert) Tucker both of Campbell’s Creek; sons, John B. (Heidi) Crowder Jr., J.R. Crowder & Kevin (Cathy) Crowder all of Campbell’s Creek, John Edward (Maggie) Crowder of Winfield; brothers, David (Brenda) Crowder of Campbell’s Creek & Wayne (Debbie) Crowder of Charleston; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Friday January 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden. Burial will follow at Cline Hollow Cemetery, Campbell’s Creek. A visitation with family & friends will be held Thursday January 15, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations to help with funeral expenses.
