John Gammon

Mark was born in Charleston on December 7, 1964, to Alba Gammon and the late Roy Gammon. He loved working for Risk Market and working on the barges at Amherst Industries. He loved nature, gardening and antiques and his pets.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daniel and Lucille Holliday and Allard and Anna Gammon; and his aunt, Myrle Dahlin.

Mark is survived by his mother, Alba Gammon; children, Michael and Jonathan Jones, both of Georgia; daughter, September Gammon of Charleston; girlfriend, Becky Martin of Elkview; sister, Kellie (Mike) Fletcher of Parkersburg; brother, David Gammon of Elkview; grandchildren, Aerial and Gabriel Jones; nephews, Kyle Schumacher, Reece and Oliver Fletcher; aunts, Brenda Hoover and Carol Hicks both of Charleston; and several other loving family members and close friends.

There will be no funeral service. A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Campbell’s Creek Food Pantry.
