Joseph Edward Skiles

Joe was born in Charleston on June 9, 1955, to the late Joseph A. and Barbara L. Hunter Skiles. He was retired from Hydraulic Pressure Systems with 39 years of service.

Joe never met a stranger and was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gail Douglas Skiles.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jennifer Bailey Skiles; step-daughters, Jessica (Jonathan) Whitlock of Albemarle, NC and Jamaica (Mike) Smithson of Charleston; brother, Billy (Diana) Skiles of Charleston; sister, Mary F. (Roger) Conley of Sanford, NC; nephew, Aaron (Krystal) Skiles; nieces, Emily (Rick) Green, Amber (Jason) Greenwood and Julie (Clifton) Talley; seven great nephews and two great nieces; and four step-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held 11: 00 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2016, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Larry Campbell officiating. The burial will follow the service at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.

A visitation with family and friends will be held Thursday September 15, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
