

Kyle Hugh “Pop” Totten, 87, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at the WV Veterans Nursing Facility, Clarksburg. He was born in Marmet on February 22, 1927, to the late Roy and Netta Midkiff Totten.
Kyle was a graduate of East Bank High School, where he played football. He was a World War II U. S. Coast Guard veteran and retired from Libby-Owens-Ford.
He was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and oversaw the building of the new church in the 1980’s and was a 50 plus year member of #27 Salina Lodge A F & A M.
He loved spending time at his farm in Calhoun County, where he loved to squirrel hunt.
Kyle was also preceded in death by brothers, Roy and Wendell Totten.
Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 65 years, Charlotte Totten; son, Kyle Hugh Totten II and companion, Dee Evans of Clarksburg; sister, Linda K. Troutman and husband, Bill, of St. Albans; grandson, Kyle Hugh Totten III and companion, Sarah Moore; and granddaughters, Shannon Lea Totten Wilfong and husband, Travis, and Kelly Marie Totten and companion, Chris Harris.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2015, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Charleston, with the Rev. Bobby M. Sizemore officiating. The burial will follow the service in Marmet Memorial Gardens, Marmet.
Family and friends will gather for the visitation Sunday, January 25, 2015, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden and a one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
