Nancy Ann (Vanetta) Rowley

She graduated from Charleston High School in 1961 and retired as an Administrative Secretary for the Department of Health and Human Resources with 27 years of service. She attended Spring Fork Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Helen Louise Hoard and Breton Hall Vanetta, brothers: Breton Hall Vanetta III and William Thomas Vanetta, sister: Helen Kay Eplin.

She is survived by daughter: Jeannie Bess and husband Rev. David Bess of Washington, Pa.; son: Gregory S. (Gregg) Smith and wife Anita of Charleston; Grandchildren: Justin Smith and wife Chelsee of Dunbar, Joshua Bess and wife Amy of Canonsburg, Pa., Christina Evans of Cross Lanes, Amanda Smith of South Charleston; Sister: Margaret "Peggy" Parsons and husband Jack of South Charleston; special friend: Walter Parsons of Marmet; Five great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday April 4, 2025, at Spring Fork Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Long officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

A visitation with family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 PM Thursday April 3, 2025, at the Church.

Her family requests donations be made to Spring Fork Missionary Baptist Church, Marked “MISSIONS”, 320 Campbells Creek Drive, Charleston, WV 25306.
