

Norma was born at Dry Branch, West Virginia, on October 6, 1942, to the late Lawrence Wesley Sr. and Mae Easter David Raines. She was a 1960 graduate of DuPont High School and was retired Office Manager for Charleston Cardiologist Group. Norma was a Christian and a 50-year member of Spring Fork Baptist Church and one of the founding members of the Spring Fork Ladies Gospel Group.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Lawrence W. Raines Jr. and Richard E. (Susie) Raines, and aunt, Carrie Goldie Davis.
Norma is survived by her loving husband, Jesse Cook; son, Mark Cook (Leslie); sisters, Connie (Gary) Jones and Elizabeth (Bruce) Dunlap; brothers, Gary (Peggy) Raines and David A. (Debi) Raines; sister-in-law, Brenda Raines; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Norma’s caregiver, Michelle Cowley; Kanawha Hospice Care; and Dr. James Griffith for their love and care.
At the family’s request, Cremation is being honored, and there will be no services at this time.
