Roy Gene Roe Jr.

Roy loved fishing, hunting, four wheeling and most of all spending time with his family. He was a very caring and compassionate person. His jobs consisted of being a truck driver.

He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Sebert and Opal Carr; paternal grandparents, Tommy and Effie Roe; and mother-in-law, Brenda Griggs.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving devoted wife, Karen; children, Alex Patton of North Carolina, Cierra Henderson and Amber Roe at home; Kaytlin Roe of Ashford; parents, Roy and Jane Roe of Hernshaw; brother-in-law, Eddie (Crissy) Griggs of Texas; sisters-in-law, Teresa (Mark) Starcher of Pond Gap, Amy Griggs of North Carolina, and Kristina Griggs of Charleston; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Roy is also survived by many close friends, who will cherish the memories of their time spent together. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 11, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. Ollie Parsons officiating. The burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.

Family and friends will gather for the visitation on Sunday, July 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
