Born on September 26, 1957, in Charleston, West Virginia, she moved through life with quiet strength, grace, and an unwavering devotion to her family. To know her was to know warmth – to feel seen and heard, and cared for, and welcomed just as you were.
Whether through her gentle words, her steady presence, or the way she showed up when it mattered most, she left an imprint that will not fade. She was a cherished mother, sister, friend, and the heart of her family.
She is survived by her son, Chip (Sasha); grandchildren, Cameron, Jayden, Bryson, Christian, and her pride and joy, Kelsie; brother, Gary Leadmon; nephews, Ben, Jake, Luke, and Cooper; and niece, Amy Leadmon. She is also survived by her best friend, more like sister, Katrinia Newman.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Wayne Halstead; father, Calvin Arnold Leadmon; mother, Ruby Lee Leadmon; sister, Jeannette (Emerson) Truman; nephew, Jason Leadmon, whom she now joins in eternal rest.
Though her days among us have ended, her love remains – woven into the lives she touched, remembered in quiet moments, and felt always in the hearts of those who loved her.
There will be no services, and Sharon will be laid to rest at Montgomery Memorial Park, London.
