Barbara’s love for people led her to become a Nurse’s Aide, which she did for 17 years. Helping others brought her much joy. She was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Barbara enjoyed riding bikes, going on bike tours, crafting, baking her favorite yum-yum cake and also decorating her home made cakes. She enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Hawaii and the cruise to Alaska. Gardening was a favorite pastime for her as well as visiting her many friends.
Above all else, she loved her family, especially her children and all her grandchildren. She was a devoted mother, wife, sister and friend. Her Christian faith was very important to her, she loved attending church and singing hymns. One of her favorites Scriptures was Proverb 3: 5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding”. “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.”
