It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Dianne Pleyn, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 6, 2025, at the age of 79.
Dianne was born in the Bronx, NY on March 2, 1946, to Dominick and Diana Coscia. She was the youngest of four children. Raised in a loving family, her childhood was filled with happiness, faith, and strong family bonds that shaped her character and instilled the values she carried throughout her life.
She worked at MBW Bank before joining United Airlines, where she traveled the world and made lifelong friends. It was during this time she was set up on a blind date with Hermann, beginning a love story that spanned 56 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful home in Montvale, NJ, and spent summers on Long Beach Island, NJ.
A devoted mother, Dianne later became a preschool teacher and served as the administrative assistant to the principal at Memorial Elementary School in Montvale, NJ for 15 years. She also dedicated over 25 years to teaching CCD at Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Park Ridge, NJ.
In retirement, she found great joy in her passion for gardening. She was a member and former Vice President of the Garden Club of LBI, and an active parishioner of St Francis of Assisi Parish, where she built a cherished circle of friends. Her love, never-ending kindness, unwavering spirit, and quiet strength will remain with all who knew her.
Dianne is survived by her devoted husband, Hermann Pleyn, and her beloved children: Matthew, Margaret, Andrew, and Jessica, as well as her beloved grandchildren Jack, Cooper, Sadie, Matthew, and Ellie. Her love for her family was profound, and her nurturing presence will be deeply missed.
A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 11:00am-11:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 4700 Long Beach Blvd, Brant Beach, NJ with a memorial mass to follow at 11:30am
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dianne's name may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
May her memory be eternal and her love be everlasting.
