Donald J. Fisher

He was born June 1, 1935 in Wilkes Barre, PA to the late William and Julia Fisher. He lived in Edison, NJ prior to moving to Manahawkin.

Donald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret and his sons, Jim and Michael. He is also survived by his son-in-law, AJ Ferrick.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Peggy Fisher-Ferrick, his brother, Bill and sister-in-law, Dottie. He was also predeceased by his dog and "special pal", Jessie.

He was formerly employed as a printer at Queens Group of Edison.

Don was an avid drawer and a devoted Yankee fan. He coached the Edison Boys Baseball team and was a member of the Elks for 29 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Don's name may be sent to Southern Ocean Medical Center, Rte. 72, Manahawkin, NJ.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ.

A Mass will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, Bishop Dr., Manahawkin, NJ.
