F David Gordon

We are saddened to announce the passing of “Dave” Gordon who passed away on February 20, 2025 after a battle with dementia. He was born in Clark, New Jersey to Rose and Edward Gordon and lived in Cranford for most of his life before moving to Manahawkin. As a boy he grew up near the Rahway River where he enjoyed all the outdoor activities offered by living near a wooded area.

Dave attended Cranford High School and served his country in the United States Marine Corps. After marrying the girl next door, he continued to reside in Cranford and worked for Creter Vault Corporation for many years. He had a talent for woodworking and enjoyed oil painting, photography and gardening. He was a parishioner at Saint Mary of The Pines Parish. Dave was predeceased by his two brothers Ralph and Eugene “Tony” and sister Jan. He leaves behind his loving wife Carole Gordon (Bayak), daughter Teresa Gordon, son-in-law Darren Stivale and granddaughter Emma-Claire.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
