

Predeceased by her beloved parents, Louis and Dolores (Casilli) Agliata, Francesca is survived by her loving siblings, Patricia, Frank and his wife Nancy and Judy Ogonowski and her cherished nephews and niece; Jonathan Agliata, Michael and Jeffrey Ogonowski and Sara Honeker and her husband Joseph. She is also survived by her great-niece Emma and her aunt Shirley Casilli.
She was a volunteer for the Stafford Firefighters Station # 47, she then enlisted in the Naval Reserves where she was actively deployed with the Marines as a Hospital Corpsman. She was stationed in Iraq and was involved in Operation Noble Eagle and Enduring Freedom. While serving in the Navy Reserves, Francesca was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal W/”M” device, Naval Reserve Meritorious Service Medal and the Navy Pistol Marksmanship Ribbon.
After she was honorably discharged, she went on to complete her Nursing degree, graduating from Raritan Valley Community College as a Registered Nurse. She worked at RWJ Barnabas Behavioral Health in Toms River for many years.
In her spare time, Francesca produced a movie “A Familiar Stranger” which was about the last days of Christ, using local actors from the Surf Light Theatre in Beach Haven, NJ. She also published a book “Prayers and Wishes” which documented the life of a young man with Down syndrome.
She loved animals of all kinds. Above all else, she cherished the times spent with her family. They brought her much happiness and joy.
A memorial service will be held at Thos L.Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin on Sunday, July 2, 2023 from 2:00pm-4:00pm, with a funeral home service at 3:30pm
In lieu of flowers, donations in Francesca’s name may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
