Helen B. Denecke, 87, of Manahawkin, Stafford Township, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 10, with her loving family by her side. Born in Jersey City to the late Anthony and Louise Cotone, she was raised there, lived in Wood-Ridge and had lived in Manahawkin since 1975. She was a nurse, a dance teacher and worked for the Township of Stafford. Mrs. Denecke had been an active member and past president of both, the Stafford Chapter of Deborah and the Stafford Democratic Club.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frederick C. Denecke, Sr. Surviving are her daughters, Barbara Rexford of ID, and Diane Carretta of NJ; son, Frederick C. Denecke, Jr. and his wife Ninette Denecke of PA; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.
Visitation will be at the Thos. L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr. Manahawkin, NJ, on Sunday from 1-4PM, with a service following at 4:00PM at the same location.
