Jean Marie Romanowski

Jean Marie Romanowski, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013. She was born in Jersey City on Jan. 2, 1930 to Gene and Elizabeth Corbliss. She lived in Jersey City and Carlstadt for most of her life. She worked for ACF Industries in Manhattan, retiring after 30 years. In 1995, she moved to Manahawkin before eventually relocating to her "summer" home on Long Beach Island where she has resided for the past 4 years. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church in Brant Beach.

Wife of the late Charles Romanowski, Jean is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Marlene Romanowski of Long Beach Island; her two grandsons, Scott Romanowski and his wife, Mary Katherine of Manhattan, and Robert Romanowski of Long Beach Island; and a great-grandson, Ryder Scott. She is also survived by her devoted sister, Mary Bellini and her husband Vincent; her dear friend, Mary Kopp; her brother-in-law, Donald Bulwicz and her sister-in-law, Irene Pienciak, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Corbliss and her sister, Elizabeth Bulwicz.

Calling hours will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of the Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Marys Of The Pines Church in Manahawkin NJ, . Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Manahawkin. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jean Marie's name may be made to St. Francis of Assisi in Brant Beach, or Meridian Home Hospice Foundation in Neptune.
